The Angel of the Lord – The Pre-incarnate Jesus Christ

• Then the man (Adam) and his wife (Eve) heard the sound of the Lord God walking (in fellowship) in the garden ‘of Eden’ at the time of the ‘cool & comfortable’ evening breeze, and they [now fallen in sin] hid from the Lord God (Jesus Christ) among the trees of the garden. – Genesis 3:8 CSB

• The Lord (Jesus Christ) appeared to Abraham at the oaks of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance of his tent during the heat of the day.

He looked up, and he saw three men standing near him. When he saw them (Jesus Christ and two Angels), he ran from the entrance of the tent to meet them, bowed to the ground, and said, “My lord (Jesus Christ), if I have found favor with you, please do not go on past your servant.

Let a little water be brought, that you may wash your feet and rest yourselves under the tree. I will bring a bit of bread so that you may strengthen yourselves. This is why you have passed your servant’s way. Later, you can continue on.”

“Yes,” they replied, “do as you have said.” – Genesis 18:1-5

• On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place ‘Mount Mariah – The future Temple Mount of Solomon’ – in the distance. …

When they (Abraham and Isaac) arrived at the place that God had told him about, Abraham built the altar there and arranged the wood. He bound his son Isaac and placed him on the altar on top of the wood. Then Abraham reached out and took the knife to slaughter his son.

But The Angel of the Lord (Jesus Christ) called to him from Heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”

He replied, “Here I am.”

Then He said, “Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from me.”

Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught in the thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son. And Abraham named that place The Lord Will Provide ‘Himself as the Eternal Sacrifice’, so today it is said, “It ‘Eternal Salvation’ will be provided on the Lord’s Mountain (Mount Mariah).”

☆ Then The Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from Heaven and said, “By Myself I have sworn,” this is the Lord’s declaration: “Because you have done this thing [had faith that God would raise Isaac from death – Hebrews 11:17-19] and have not withheld your only son, I will indeed bless you and make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the city gates of their enemies. And all the Nations of the earth will be Blessed by your ‘Jewish’ offspring because you have obeyed My Command.” – Genesis 22:4-18

• By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He received the promises and yet he was offering his one and only ‘Beloved’ son, the one to whom it had been said, Your offspring will be traced through Isaac.

☆ He considered God to be able even to raise someone from the dead; therefore, he ‘Abraham’ received him ‘Isaac’ back, figuratively speaking. – Hebrews 11:17-19

When David looked up and saw The Angel of the Lord standing between earth and Heaven (above the Temple Mount – Mount Mariah in Jerusalem), with His drawn sword in His hand stretched out over Jerusalem, David and the elders, covered in sackcloth, fell facedown.

David said to God, “Wasn’t I the one who gave the order to count the people? I am the one who has sinned and acted very wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? Lord my God, please let Your hand be against me and against my father’s family, but don’t let the plague be against your people.”

King David’s Altar in Jerusalem

So The Angel of the Lord ordered Gad (the Prophet) to tell David to go and set up an altar to the Lord on (the Temple Mount) the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

David went up at Gad’s command spoken in the Name of the Lord (Jesus Christ). – 1 Chronicles 21:16-19 CSB

• On the first day of the week (Sunday), very early in the morning, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.

They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

They went in but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men (Angels) stood by them in dazzling clothes. So the women were terrified and bowed down to the ground.

“Why are you looking for the living among the dead?” asked the men (Angels). – Luke 24:1-5 CSB

Who is the mysterious “Man in Linen” (Pre-Incarnate Jesus Christ) from Daniel chapter ten?

This ancient vision has puzzled scholars and believers for centuries.

What Daniel witnessed by the river was not an ordinary encounter—and the clues hidden in the text point to something far more profound than most people realize.

Jesus Christ Walking on Water

• Daniel 10:4-6, 12:5-7
• 3 Gospels – Matthew 14:22–33, Mark 6:45–52, John 6:15–21
• Revelation 10:5-7

• Then I, Daniel, looked, and two (Angels) others were standing there, one on this bank of the river and one on the other.

One of them said to the Man (Jesus Christ) dressed in linen (Priestly clothes), Who was above the water of the river [Euphrates], “How long until the end of these wondrous things?”

Then I heard the Man dressed in linen, who was above the water of the river. He raised both his hands toward Heaven and swore by Him (Himsrlf) who lives Eternally that it would be for a time, times, and half a time. When the power of the holy people is shattered, all these things will be completed. – Daniel 12:5-7 CSB

• When evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. Darkness had already set in, but Jesus had not yet come to them. A high wind arose, and the sea began to churn. After they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea.

He was coming near the boat, and they were afraid. But he said to them, “It is I Don’t be afraid.” Then they were willing to take Him on board, and at once the boat was at the shore where they were heading. John 6:16–21 CSB

• Then the Angel (Jesus Christ) that I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised His right hand to heaven.

He swore by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, “There will no longer be a delay, but in the days when the seventh angel will blow his trumpet, then the Mystery of God will be completed, as He announced to His servants the prophets.” – Revelation 10:5-7 CSB
